What is a fanlisting?

A fanlisting is place where fans and supporters of a certain suject (movie, character, TV series, book, anime, etc.) from all over the world can be listed together. In this case, the subject is the relationship between Mayu and Nana, two main characters from the popular anime/manga series Elfen Lied.

MAYU
After being sexually molested repeatedly by her stepfather, the dark-haired Mayu ran away from home and ended up at the Kaide House, which consisted of Kouta and Yuka, who were two college students, and Nyu, the alternate personality of the savage Diclonius Lucy. (A Diclonius is a mutant human with horns sticking out of his/her head and "vectors", or invisible arms that can extend from the head and slice through nearly anything.) Kouta and Yuka welcomed both Mayu and the dog that Mayu had befriended along the way of her journey, Wanta, with open arms. While taking her dog Wanta for a walk one night, Mayu stumbled across Nana.
NANA
Nana is a pink-haired Diclonius, but unlike Lucy, she is very gentle and does not like to fight or provoke violence. She was sent by Chief Kurama to help find and capture Lucy, but failed in the process- Lucy ripped off her arms and legs. Kurama rescued her, and she was provided with new artificial limbs. When Director Kakuzawa soon after ordered her to be killed, Kurama instead let her escape, eqipping her with a lot of money that she didn't know how to use. It was when Nana was wandering around, feeling hungry and knowing nothing about money that Mayu found her. The two immediately became friends, and Mayu took Nana back to the Kaede House to live with her, Yuka, Kouta, and Nyu.
